2. What we collect

Orders and reservations: your name, phone number, and — if you give it — email address, plus the details of your order or booking, so we can prepare and confirm it. Event enquiries: the details you send us about your event. Staff and suppliers: account details for team members we invite, and contact details for our vendors. Technical: standard server logs (address, browser, time) used to keep the site working and secure.

3. How we use it

We use this information to run the restaurant: preparing orders, holding tables, planning events, buying supplies, and answering you. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the services that help us operate — for example our payment processor (Clover) when you pay by card, and our messaging providers when we send an order confirmation or a supplier order — and only as needed for that purpose.

4. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number for an order or reservation, we may send transactional texts about that order or booking (for example a confirmation or an assignment message). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop. Marketing texts are sent only with your consent, recorded with its time and version.

5. Cookies

This site uses small cookies to remember your language and age confirmation, and — for staff — to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.

6. Keeping and deleting data

We keep order and reservation records as long as needed for our business and legal duties. You may ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information by contacting info@marakandhouse.com; staff members can also delete their own account from within the staff console where that feature is offered. Some records (for example completed order history) may be retained where the law requires.

7. Children

This website is for guests planning a visit or an order; it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
